During the last few years MSI started to make its own laptops. They currently manufactured various Wind branded netbooks which do convincingly well. They’re now targeting to provide numerous full-sized laptops, aimed at portability and power which given choices for their customer. With years in computer industries, they are capable to make their own laptops, proudly to state that they do all of the research and development rather than purchasing a stock chassis from other company, which is more common. Now, they have their major occurrence in the netbook/ultraportable and gaming markets.

Back in November 2007, we donated an XO Laptop to a child in a developing country as part of the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project. The concept was to give one – get one free allowing us the opportunity to take a close look at this revolutionary PC. The ultimate goal is to get a low cost entry level machine into the hands of a child who normally would not have the opportunity.

Just a few months back, we saw Peru become the first country in the world to begin a Windows XP based XO laptop pilot program, and now Columbia will be joining them. The announcement, which comes courtesy of Microsoft, is calling for the program to initially take place in Quetame and Chia, but will also be expanded in the future.
